Frank Hoefflin

Chief Technology Officer

Frank Hoefflin is the Chief Technology Officer for Holcim’s U.S.-based businesses, working across Holcim Building Envelope and Holcim U.S. Cement and ACM teams in the United States. Frank is responsible for driving innovation in all aspects of our business in the U.S., focusing especially on customer value creation. He collaborates with leaders and teams across all U.S. business units to enhance our processes and operational efficiencies related to U.S.-based innovation. 

Frank has extensive executive experience in the building products and manufacturing industries. Before joining Holcim, Frank held various roles with Sika in the U.S. and Switzerland, including CTO and Head of Operations. At Sika, he improved the global innovation rate of Sika Group by 20% by creating highly motivated global teams focusing on business impact. Prior to working for Sika, Frank was involved in both R&D and business development at GE Plastics.

Frank holds a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry/material science and has dual U.S. and German citizenship.
