Central DuPage Hospital Convenient Care Center Glen Ellyn, Illinois Located in Glen Ellyn, Ill., the new Central DuPage Hospital Convenient Care Center features approximately 13,000 square feet of fully-adhered 60-mil Elevate UltraPly TPO roofing system over tapered Elevate ISO 95+ GL polyiso insulation set in I.S.O. Twin Pack insulation adhesive. The medical center also features 900 square feet of Firestone Series 1000UC composite wall panels, 2,900 square feet of Firestone UC-500 flush soffit panel system and 3,400 square feet of 24-gauge prefinished steel 7.2-inch corrugated custom fabricated herringbone panels. The UltraPly TPO membrane was selected for this building because of its compliance with the U.S. Department of Energys ENERGY STAR program. The low-slope portion of the roofing project was completed in five days with a six man crew while the composite panels, soffit and herringbone panels were completed in 60 days with a four man crew. The most challenging part of the Central DuPage Hospital roofing project was capturing the design intent and vision of the architect and building owner for the exterior metal cladding on the building. The unusual concrete deck slope and drain locations also presented a challenge for the tapered insulation design due to several large HVAC units. The roof was installed by Olsson Roofing Company and is protected by a Elevate Red Shield 15-year Warranty.
