The original 9,000 m² roof build-up, consisting of concrete elements covered with a bitumen membrane, was deteriorated and overstressed and needed to be renovated.
One of the main challenges of this project was that it was not possible to drill the concrete substrate. Therefore, a durable, non-penetrating roofing system was needed. In addition, the vaulted shape of the roof required a flexible membrane that could be installed quickly and easily.
After considering several different proposals, the building owner decided to go for an Elevate RubberGard EPDM fully adhered system, as proposed by a local Elevate partner. This experienced roofing contractor completed the renovation of the roofing system in 60 days.
EPDM is the most future-proof roofing solution when it comes to sustainability, performance and design freedom. Learn more about the role it played within this project and many others by discovering its benefits.
