The construction of the new 310th Space Wing Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. required a long-term, maintenance-free facility. As such, the facility would provide a clean, well-maintained environment that subscribes to the Schriever Air Force Base Green Energy Efficiency policy. The 28 000 sq. ft. facility houses the 310th Space Wing Staff, Security Forces Squadron and personnel from the 310th Military Personnel Flight and Mission Support Squadron. The large-scale project features the Series 1200 Wall Panel System in Alucobond 4 mm covering 10 887 sq ft and UNA-CLAD champagne metallic UC-6 Roofing Panels (22 gauge prefinished steel) covering 462 sq ft, to create the clean look the building owner requested. SBS UltraWhite modified bitumen capsheet and membrane provides the heat reflectivity to save energy costs and meet the facilitys Green Energy Efficiency policy. The Series 1200 Wall Panel System feature a 10-year Elevate Quality Assurance Warranty. Additionally, the UC-6 Roofing Panels and SBS UltraWhite Roofing System are covered under a 20-year Red Shield Warranty since the projects completion in October 2011.
