Elevate is pleased to announce that select RubberGard EPDM membrane systems are now eligible for up to a 25-year Red Shield™ Warranty when installed according to updated Elevate details by a licensed Elevate applicator. Eligible membranes and applications include:
- 60-mil (Min.) LSFR RubberGard EPDM (Adhered, MAS, and Ballasted)
- 60-mil (Min.) RubberGard MAX EPDM (Adhered, MAS, and Ballasted)
- 60-mil (Min.) RubberGard EcoWhite™ EPDM (Adhered)
To support these expanded warranty options, most RubberGard installation details previously limited to 20 years now reflect a maximum 25-year warranty term. Notably, Lap Splice Detail LS-1 using 3” QuickSeam™ Splice Tape is now acceptable for 25 years, with QuickSeam Joint Covers still required at all exposed T-Joints, Splice Tape overlaps, and angle changes of 1:12 or greater. Platinum Details PLS-1 and PLS-1a remain alternates to LS-1 when required by a project specification. Similarly, Roof Edge details RE-17, RE-23, RE-23a, and RE-23b are now acceptable for 25 years, with Platinum Details PRE-4 and PRE-6, PRE-6a, and PRE-6b as acceptable alternates, respectively. Details RE-18, RE-24, RE-24a, and RE-24b will be discontinued.
There are no additional installation requirements for 25-year warranty terms, but any installation that does not follow Elevate Base Tie-In details—including application of an approved Elevate primer on the QuickSeam RPF—will automatically require reinspection once repairs to the Base Tie-Ins are completed. Elevate Field Technical Representatives may require cutting open the RPF during final inspections to ensure compliance with Elevate requirements.
